Strictly Come Dancing finalists John Whaite and Johannes Radebe have shared their excitement at getting to dance once more on the show’s live tour which begins next week.

John and Johannes made history last year, becoming the first same-sex male competing couple since the series began in 2004.

The pair made it all the way to December’s finale, going up against Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice who went on to win the competition.

After finishing as runners-up, they’re already back dancing as they prepare for the nationwide live tour and posted a cute picture to show fans.

The duo beamed as they donned matching sparkled mesh tops, with John showing off some fab-u-lous black trousers covered in gold sequins.

Former Bake Off winner John penned a sweet message alongside the snap, writing: ‘The boys are back together.

‘I can’t tell you what a joy it has been to dance with @johannesradebe again. See you on the dance floor, partner,’ he wrote.

Fans quickly commented on the duo, expressing their excitement that they were back performing together.

One shared: ‘Love you two together. It’s like you have been dance partners forever.’

‘I can’t wait, I’ve missed you both so much,’ added a fan, with another agreeing: ‘You are so good together. Love and best wishes.’

Johannes’ first Strictly partner Catherine Tyldesley dubbed the pair ‘KINGS’ – and we couldn’t agree more.

Appearing alongside the finalists from the 2021 series will be Sara Davies and Aljaž Skorjanec, Rhys Stephenson and Nancy Xu, Tilly Ramsay and Nikita Kuzman.

Maisie Smith will step in for AJ Odudu after she was forced to withdraw due to an injury, pairing up with Kai Widdrington.

They will be joined by last series’ competitor Max George who will return to the dance floor for the live tour, now dancing with Katya Jones.

It will also feature the return of Bruno Tonioli, who hasn’t been on the panel since 2019.

The LA-based judge was unable to feature due to travel restrictions in place between the US and UK amid the Covid pandemic.

He’ll be on-hand to dish out his critiques with Craig Revel-Horwood and Shirley Ballas as fans get to see some of their favourite dances performed once more.
